For best results, hair should be at least a quarter-inch long before your appointment, about two to three weeks past your last shave. Skip lotion on the area the morning of your visit. After your wax, give your skin 24 hours before hitting the gym or soaking in a hot tub, and keep the area gently moisturized over the next few days to help prevent ingrown hairs. Watertown winters are dry enough that moisturizing is worth taking seriously year-round.
